The programs range in length from two weeks to two years and cost anywhere from hundred to thousand of dollars. Which one is right for you? It depends on your experience, knowledge and your objective. It pays to talk to people who have taken a particular program or ask local yoga teachers where they got their training and what they recommend. A good program should cover yoga philosophy and history; postures (alignment, benefits and contraindications); breathing and pranayama; meditation; anatomy and physiology; and practice teaching.
