The Bow Purpose

Tones the back muscles and maintains the elasticity of your spine,improving posture and increasing vitality.

The Bow Instructions

Note beginners find it easier to lift thier legs if they are apart, more advanced students should aim to preform the Bow with thier legs together. Like an archer stringing a bow, you use your hands and arms to pull your trunk and legs up together to form a curve.

Lie down on your front, head down. Inhale and bend your knees up, then reach back with both hands and clasp your hold of your ankles. Exhale. Inhale, raise your head and chest and simultaneously pull up your ankles,lifting the knees and thighs off the floor. Take three deep breaths in this pose then release on the exhalation. Do once or twice.
