Come one, come all,
come down to the beach
and reconnect with the beauty of
nature and the vitality of your body with my Free
Yoga On Siesta Key Public Beach.
Located directly in front of the main entrance to Siesta key Public
Beach
Adjacent to the green lifeguard stand.
I'm your teacher
Ava and I have
been teaching yoga for 36 years. I
have just recently relocated to Sarasota, Florida from Maui, Hawaii,
where I had
been teaching my yoga classes for the past twenty years. On Maui it was easy to teach my yoga classes outdoors because of the beautiful tropical climate and
the many beautiful beaches there. Having taught both indoors and outdoors yoga I have come
to
feel that
there is no better place to
experience the many physical and psychological effects and benefits of yoga than
outdoors surrounded by the beauty of nature. Hawaii had some beautiful beaches no doubt but Siesta Key Public Beach
where I now teach my yoga classes is one of the most unique
beaches in the world, unique because the sand is composed of this very fine
white
sand which is made out of 98% quartz crystals. The sand is literally made up of trillions of
tiny quartz crystals which have the same dynamic spiritual and electrical properties
a of a large quartz
crystal only a trillion fold.
Making my Yoga on Siesta Key Public Beach a yoga experience
unlike any other in the world. The vibrations from the sand underneath you are palpable and you can tune in to them with my guided earth meditation which I use to start and end the class.
MY
STYLE OF YOGA
The classes are designed for all levels of experience, the pace of the class is slow and deliberate with pose and counter pose following a spontaneously created sequence which is always unique and original to every class.
I
emphasis deep breathing throughout the class and I ask you to
concentrate on how the poses feels and
then adjust and modify it according to your own level of strength and flexibility. I believe in leading a class by
demonstrating various levels or stages of each pose while at the same time giving
clear and sycinct verbally
instructions so you can follow along keeping your eyes closed and staying in deep
concentration while in pose. I believe that this method of instruction allows you to
progress at your own speed and ability because you do not feel
excessive pressure from me to preform the poses perfectly or keep up
with the other students, I encourage you instead to become your own master.
So if you've never
tried Yoga before or you're already in love with it
then there is no better place than on the magical sands of Siesta Key Public Beach to try my yoga class. Even if
it turns out to be a one time event in your life you will always remember the
spectacular setting and take home a very beautiful memory.
Yoga has
been my greatest adventure in life and it has kept me in the wonderful physical condition at age 58. Yoga
has also taught me self discipline and courage and has also opened my heart and
mind to
the deeper aspects of my being.
So no matter if you are young or old
you can start today to improve your flexibility, strength and balance and overall
health with yoga, so why not give
it a
try, you never know where it may lead you. I want to thank you all for your donations and time.
